The outside and the inside harmoniously coexist in this stand keeping the spirit of the fair stands designed over the past the year. A program of side tables called Grada stands among the novelties, fruit of a new collaboration with the Barcelona-based studio Lievore Altherr Molina that began last year with the reedition of Lapala, the braided chair which will be present at the stand as well. These outdoor tables, made of stainless steel and marble, invite to play with sizes, shapes and perspectives.

A different game, this time based on optical illusion, is that proposed by the new Omega outdoor fabric, specifically developed by the Danish company Gabriel for Expormim. Omega, a 3D mesh made of resistant polyester, will dress the main outdoor collections, such as the Plump sofa or the Senso and Twins armchairs, with bright colours like turquoise or paprika.

Although launched during the last edition of the Milan Furniture Fair, Mario Ruiz’s collection will hold a prominent space in the stand. This elegant indoor collection based on rattan and wood comprises the Huma rattan armchair, the Kotai solid wood tables, the Team modules and shelves and the Kiri side tables, combining rattan and noble materials such as marble.

Alongside them, two pieces belonging to the collection signed by Jaime Hayon hold a prominent position: the Frames screen and rattan armchair, which was recently awarded a winner mention in the prestigious German Design Awards.

Nor it is impossible to leave out two iconic designs of Expormim: Oscar Tusquets’ Fontal chair, which marked the starting point of Expormim’s new journey along the road of rattan design, and the Nautica swing chair, a superb reinterpretation of one of the brand’s first pieces by Alberto Sánchez, creative mind of the young Valencian atelier MUT Design, which was awarded a Red Dot in 2014.
