José Ramón Revert: “Textilhogar will multiply business opportunities with more internationalization, more synergies, and a format designed to sell more and better”

The president of the Organizing Committee of Textilhogar advocates for an edition aimed at “strengthening synergies across the entire habitat sector and optimizing the exhibition offer” in an event that will once again be held alongside Hábitat, Espacio Cocina SICI, and the new initiative 360 by Cevisama.

València, 27 abril 2026.- With more than half a century of history, Textilhogar approaches its 2026 edition by reinforcing its role as a major international showcase for home textiles and a strategic platform for business and trends in the sector. The event will once again take place within the powerful joint framework of Feria Hábitat València alongside Espacio Cocina SICI and the new initiative 360 by Cevisama, creating a global ecosystem around the habitat sector with a unique capacity to attract professionals.

At the head of the Textilhogar Organizing Committee is veteran businessman José Ramón Revert, one of the most recognized figures in the industry, with a long career leading organizations such as Home Textiles From Spain and the Spanish Habitat Federation. Revert analyzes the challenges and opportunities of an event that aims to take a leap in scale, quality, and international projection.

Textilhogar has a long trajectory within the trade fair calendar. At what stage does the fair arrive for its 2026 edition?

Textilhogar reaches 2026 at a moment of full maturity and consolidation. We are talking about an event with more than 50 editions behind it, which has evolved alongside the industry and adapted to market changes. Today we are a benchmark fair for home textiles, not only in Spain but also internationally, and we continue to be a key tool serving the sector, especially in everything related to exports and opening new markets.

One of the keys to this edition will once again be its joint celebration with other major habitat events. What does this partnership bring?

It is one of our great differentiating values. Holding the event again alongside Feria Hábitat València, Espacio Cocina SICI, and the new initiative 360 by Cevisama means creating a unique ecosystem around the habitat sector. This integration multiplies business opportunities, generates very strong synergies between complementary sectors, and turns València into a major international hub attracting professionals in design, architecture, interior design, and distribution. For our companies, it is an extraordinary opportunity to expand their network of contacts and access new buyer profiles.

This edition also introduces a new organization of the exhibition offer. What objectives does this sectorization pursue?

We have worked to make the visitor experience much more efficient and productive. Textilhogar exhibitors will be distributed throughout the different halls of Feria Valencia, segmented by product and lifestyle. We are talking about areas such as upholstery and decoration, textile editors, curtains and rugs, or bed linen. This facilitates the route, improves visitor flow, and above all enhances synergies between companies and purchasing power. We want every professional to quickly find what they are looking for and also discover new business opportunities.

The international component is another pillar of Textilhogar. What role does the international buyers plan play?

It is absolutely strategic. From ATEVAL, with the support of key organizations such as IVACE + i Internacional and ICEX, an ambitious buyers plan and reverse trade missions are being developed, which in the last edition brought together professionals from more than 40 countries, with a 25% increase compared to the previous event. These types of initiatives strengthen our global positioning and allow exhibiting companies to establish high-value contacts with importers, distributors, and key prescribers. In a sector as export-oriented as home textiles, this program is essential.

You have extensive experience in the habitat sector. How do you assess the evolution of the textile industry in recent years?

It has been a very significant evolution. The sector has demonstrated a great capacity for adaptation, committing to innovation, sustainability, design, and differentiation. Today, home textiles not only respond to a functional need but are an essential part of the overall concept of interior design and lifestyle. Spanish companies have positioned themselves very well in this context, with high value-added proposals that are highly appreciated in international markets.

What role does Textilhogar play in this context of transformation?

Textilhogar acts as a true barometer of the sector. It is the place where new collections are presented, where trends are set, and where real business opportunities are generated. Our vocation is to be a useful platform that provides value to both exhibitors and visitors and contributes to the growth of the industry. It is not just about showcasing products, but about generating knowledge, connections, and new ideas.

What message would you like to convey to companies and professionals considering participating in or visiting the next edition?

I would tell them that Textilhogar 2026 is a must-attend event. For its trajectory, its ability to attract participants, its international scope, and the unique environment in which it is held alongside the rest of the habitat fairs. It is the time and place to do business, detect trends, and establish lasting relationships. We are working to offer the best possible edition and to ensure that every participant obtains maximum return from their presence at the fair..
