Viruta LAB, José Arroyo and Studio HC preview some of the concepts that will complete the Hotel Hábitat spaces, alongside proposals by Porcelanosa, Stone Designs, Abez, Made Studio and Odosdesign.
The installation, globally conceived by Mexican architect Joaquín Homs, will bring together design, architecture, materials, lighting and equipment in one of the main attractions of València Inspira Diseño 2026.
València, September 14, 2026.- A tribute to Federico García Lorca, a space built from reflections, and a room conceived as a succession of layers of earth, nature, matter, culture, light and cosmos are some of the proposals that will take shape at Hotel Hábitat 2026, one of the major installations at the upcoming edition of València Inspira Diseño.
The project can be visited from September 28 to October 1 at Feria Valencia and will bring together different approaches to contemporary hotel spaces in a single setting. Designers and architects will work alongside manufacturers and exhibiting brands from the various events that make up València Inspira Diseño to create a hotel in which furniture, wall and floor coverings, textiles, lighting, materials, kitchens and bathrooms will form part of a shared experience.
The installation, directed by Mexican architect and designer Joaquín Homs, is conceived as a reflection on a new way of inhabiting spaces—more sensory, sustainable and universal. Covering approximately 550 square metres, the project will offer a 360-degree vision of a new way of living: more conscious, more human and deeply connected to the environment. Visitors will be invited to experience the space through their senses; to listen, touch, observe and perceive architecture through emotion rather than aesthetics alone.
Ceramics and Federico García Lorca
In this context, one of the most distinctive proposals will be the ‘Suite Órbita, Viruta Lab-Tile of Spain’, developed by Viruta LAB in collaboration with ASCER. The project takes as its starting point the poetic universe of Federico García Lorca and, in particular, the presence of the moon in the Romancero gitano, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of his assassination.
Under the concept ‘Ninety years orbiting around Federico García Lorca’, the proposal does not seek to literally represent the moon, but rather to bring the idea of its orbit into the space. The bedroom is conceived as a small universe in which geometry, materials and circulation paths revolve around a common centre, turning the architecture into a system in which all the elements appear to gravitate.
Ceramics will be one of the main resources in this room. Its solutions will be incorporated into flooring, wall coverings and various architectural elements of the suite, making ceramic an essential part of the spatial concept.
The experiential dimension of light
The Suite by interior designer José Arroyo, entitled ‘El reflejo interior’ (The Inner Reflection), will also have a strong experiential dimension. The designer proposes a space that invites visitors to change the way they look: reflective surfaces will multiply the body, architecture and light, creating a shifting perception of the space.
LED lighting will reinforce this effect through lines that cross the room and are reproduced across the surfaces, creating an apparently infinite geometry. Visitors will thus cease to be mere spectators and become part of the installation, altering through their presence, movement and perspective what they see.
A new way of inhabiting spaces
For its part, Studio HC’s proposal revolves around the concept ‘Estratos’ (Strata), an architecture constructed through layers in which Earth, Nature, Matter, Culture, Light and Cosmos interact to create a new way of inhabiting space.
The room begins with the earth as the origin of landscape, resources and the memory of the territory, and evolves towards materials, textures, craftsmanship and culture. Light also takes on an architectural role by shaping volumes and highlighting the qualities of surfaces, while the cosmos introduces a symbolic dimension inspired by ancestral cultures.
Exclusive Porcelanosa Suite
The Hotel Hábitat tour will also feature an exclusive Porcelanosa Suite, offering a contemporary vision of hotel space through architectural, interior design and furnishing solutions. The proposal will showcase the brand’s ability to integrate materials, surfaces and products into a space conceived for both residential and contract environments.
Four exclusive spaces will complete Hotel Hábitat 2026
Alongside the suites, Hotel Hábitat 2026 will incorporate various exclusive spaces that will demonstrate how design pieces and solutions can be integrated into different contexts of use within a hotel environment. The studios Stone Designs, Abez, Made Studio and Odosdesign will participate in this area, each developing a distinct space.
2026, the major integrated event centred on the habitat
Feria Valencia will host the joint celebration of Feria Hábitat València, together with Textilhogar, Espacio Cocina SICI and the new 360 by Cevisama area, from September 28 to October 1, 2026, as part of the ‘València Inspira Diseño 2026’ initiative. It is a major integrated, multisector event focused on habitat-related industries, with strong international appeal among profiles such as mass retail and contract-sector operators. The initiative is expected to exceed 110,000 square metres of exhibition space, with nearly 1,500 exhibiting companies and brands.
