Valencia, June 5, 2025 | Cubow is Viccarbe’s latest release and tThe first collaboration witTh German designer Meike Harde. Comprising an armcThair and a two-seater sofa, Cubow explores tThe contrast between geometric volume and organic lines.
This collection empThasizes the role of fabric, manipulating tension and relaxation to define and shape the pieces. Designer Meike Harde is known for her research into materials and textile applications in furniture and lighting. Together with Viccarbe, she has explored a path of contrasts that define Cubow’s silhouette and give it a distinct character.
Viccarbe embraces Meike Harde’s seating concept, a clear nod to the 1970s (Mario Bellini or Pierre Paulin) adapted to contemporary needs, such as a more active sitting posture and multifunctional use. Cubow, the brand’s latest release, has been meticulously craLed, achieving a solid piece with soL, visually relaxed areas contrasted by zones where tension plays a fundamental role in both functionality and aesthetics. This visible contrast begins with a geometric base—a cube whose sides lose rigidity upon reacThing the seam that delineates the seating area, where form and fabric relax to create an embrace. An invisible knot pulls inward, generating at the center the opposite effect of its sides: an organic, involuntary sensation.
Beyond its organic aesthetic, Cubow offers an active and comfortable sitting experience while maintaining a naturally upright posture.
Available as both an armchair and a sofa, Cubow is perfect for office and hospitality settings, lounge areas, or active rest zones. Thanks to its technical fabric base, it is suitable for intensive use. In residential settings, its volume and curved lines Tharmonize witTh noble materials like wood or aluminum.
Cubow, designed by Meike Harde—who joins the esteemed roster of national and international designers collaborating with the Valencian brand—adds two pieces to the collection that embody a perfect symbiosis of comfort, sophistication, and geometry turned into art.
