The jury selects twelve promising designers and thirteen design schools and universities to participate in a new edition of the nude Salon for emerging talents.
This year, the Salon becomes more international with participants from the United States, Iran, Russia, and Mexico, alongside designers from Barcelona, Madrid, Zaragoza, Navarra, Santander, Castellón, and Cádiz.
The jury, made up of the most recent National Design Award winner Héctor Serrano, Rubén Mateos (Viccarbe), Mariola Reyna (Arnau&Reyna), and Chisco Vilar (Ministry of Culture), highlights the “heterogeneity” and the “commitment to materiality” in the works presented.
València, June 30, 2025 – The nude Salon has confirmed the participants for its upcoming edition, which will take place from September 29 to October 2 as part of the joint celebration of Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar. A new edition of what has become, in its own right, the leading platform in Spain for emerging design talent, new publishing houses, and design schools and universities.
The nude Salon has selected 25 participants, twelve of them new designers or specialized studios, and thirteen design schools and training centers, through a rigorous selection process carried out by a distinguished professional jury.
This year’s jury included designer and recent National Design Award winner Héctor Serrano; architect and designer Mariola Reyna from the design studio Arnau & Reyna; Rubén Mateos, Art Director and Head of Design at the cutting-edge furniture and equipment company Viccarbe; and Chisco Villar, designer and Deputy Director of the Cultural Industries Coordination Center of the Ministry of Culture of the Spanish Government, a public institution that has supported the most recent editions of the nude Salon.

Coordinated by María Fontes, founder and curator of the nude Salon, the jury praised the “heterogeneity” of the projects and their ability to incorporate into a platform like the nude Salon “practically all sectors that make up the habitat industry, from furniture and lighting to textiles, ceramics, decoration, and interior solutions.” The proposals also stand out for their “materiality, understood as the appreciation of the material itself as the essence of the product.”
Another notable aspect of the selected group is its international nature, with participants from countries such as the United States, Iran, Russia, and Mexico, in addition to designers from nearly all parts of Spain.
