ANIEME has presented the report on the foreign trade results of the Spanish furniture sector for the period from January to December 2025. At year-end, the data confirm a 5% increase in international sales of Spanish furniture, exceeding 3.146 billion euros.
The Autonomous Communities that showed the highest growth in 2025 were Catalonia (+8.2%), Aragon (+9.1%), Andalusia (+11.2%), and the Region of Murcia (+18.5%).
In terms of export destinations, France continues to lead with 26% of total Spanish furniture exports, with a 2.2% increase in the period from January to December 2025. Among the European countries with the highest growth in their purchases of Spanish furniture are Portugal (+4.3%), Germany (+9.7%), and the Netherlands (+18.3%).
The United States, in 3rd place in the ranking of destinations for Spanish furniture, shows a 3.5% growth at the close of the 2025 fiscal year. It is undoubtedly a market that must continue to be supported due to the enormous business opportunities it offers.
At the end of 2025, Spanish furniture exports to Morocco recorded a notable growth of 19.9%, becoming the 7th destination worldwide. It is a strategic market for Spanish exporting companies due to its geographic proximity, economic stability, and growing demand for habitat-related products, especially for contract projects. The country is developing an ambitious plan for infrastructure and equipment of all types of facilities due to its co-hosting of the 2030 World Cup together with Spain and Portugal, which is already generating significant opportunities for Spanish furniture manufacturers and related industries.
Mexico, in 9th place in the ranking, is also a highly important market, not only because of its size, but because of the number of projects being carried out that must be furnished, contributing to the positive result recorded with a significant growth of 19.2% in 2025.
According to statements by the President of ANIEME, Jorge Mariner, “International sales of the Spanish furniture sector increased by 5% in the 2025 fiscal year, which represents a very positive result in terms of the growth rate that had been recorded (the year 2024 closed with an increase of 2.3%).
At ANIEME, we highlight the extraordinary effort being made by Spanish companies in the furniture sector to enhance the visibility of their brands in international markets and to achieve these positive commercial results in a highly complex geopolitical context such as the current one, which affects international trade in general and, therefore, Spanish furniture exports, and to which companies are adapting in an extraordinary manner.
We also once again draw attention to the importance of boosting investment in the international promotion of Spanish furniture brands, as well as the need for greater support from public institutions for this purpose.”
