MAARTEN | SÓLIDO CONFORT
Como tributo a la figura del diseñador belga M. Van Severen, Víctor Carrasco creó MAARTEN, una colección que recuerda a la elegancia de las piezas de mobiliario clásico de los años 70s.
El estilo de Van Severen trabajando con estructuras de acero simples y rotundas en combinación con asientos de un aspecto visual realmente confortables, fue la inspiración que llevó a Carrasco a crear este homenaje al brillante diseñador contemporáneo. “Siempre fui gran admirador de Maarten Van Severen, con el que me hubiera gustado colaborar. Su repentina muerte me privó de ello, pero me llevó a trabajar en la silla que me hubiera gustado hacer con él”. La silla giratoria de la colección MAARTEN es una estrella por sí misma. Su atractivo y colorido diseño elaborado en madera tapizada con diversos acabados, otorga un toque de distinción en diferentes ambientes.
Su estructura piramidal y brazos de acero calibrado y lacado en poliéster termoendurecido, dan equilibrio y robustez al asiento, modelado con madera contrachapada en 3D. “Su asiento de formas mórbidas le da un aspecto hogareño que contrasta con su base robusta y solida”, señala Carrasco. Para lograr un juego de neutros y contrastes, la silla MAARTEN cuenta con acabados de base en acero lacado transparente, negro, blanco y naranja fluorescente.
Ideal como complemento en el hogar, comercios, zonas colaborativas o la oficina, la silla MAARTEN ofrece a quien la posee una confortable experiencia a la vista y al uso.
MAARTEN | ‘ONE MILE TABLE’
La colección MAARTEN crece y se complementa con un versátil sistema de mesas de diseño sobrio y minimalista, ideal para brindar alternativas a espacios y ambientes contemporáneos.
Con la mesa como protagonista en sus diferentes variantes, Víctor Carrasco propone la simplificación de la pieza: patas resueltas técnicamente para no precisar de estructura y poder ser fijadas directamente a su tablero. Su concepto “one mile” expresa la infinidad de posibilidades que ofrece la mesa MAARTEN, desde la mañana hasta la noche: desayunando en la cocina, trabajando en la oficina o cenando en su versión de restaurante. Este innovador sistema permite infinidad de usos, acabados y formatos.
Los acabados de esta colección están pensados para ser integrados con naturalidad en diversos ambientes. Su sobre o plano de trabajo de 30 mm está fabricado en MDF microtexturado técnico, lacado en colores blanco, negro, arena, tabaco, plata, rojo, mostaza o verde. Otra opción es el chapado natural pulimentado en colores roble mate, wengé, cognac o ceniza. En su estructura, las patas regulables en altura son de acero calibrado lacado en poliéster termo endurecido blanco, negro y naranja fluorescente.
“…Creemos en la fusión, no juzgamos ni dictamos qué es válido y que no, sólo creamos objetos con el mayor de nuestros respetos y dejamos sobre la mesa una amplia paleta de estudiados acabados para que nuestros clientes terminen el trabajo”, afirma Carrasco. Con 11 modelos a elegir en formatos de mesa simple o equipadas con contenedores de MDF, MAARTEN es la síntesis del mobiliario de uso cotidiano con diseño extraordinario.
PLATFORM | CONFORT EMOCIONAL
Los asientos adquieren una nueva dimensión con PLATFORM, la colección diseñada por Arik Levy para Viccarbe.
Para el diseñador israelí afincado en Francia, el mundo es de las personas, no de los objetos. Con esta idea en mente, Levy ha creado una línea de asientos que, más allá de la estética y funcionalidad tradicional, ofrecen al usuario un perfecto ‘confort emocional’. “PLATFORM es un sistema de sofás muy confortable. Podemos decir que es un confort psicológico y físico”, explica Levy.
Diferentes alturas en sus respaldos y paneles laterales crean una sensación de refugio: un espacio privado para tener una conversación o simplemente descansar. Como es habitual, Arik Levy presta meticulosa atención a los detalles. La colección PLATFORM está fabricada en madera maciza y MDF revestido de poliuretano expandido indeformable y fibra de poliéster. No se fabrica en piel.
Su base y patas de acero calibrado, lacado en epoxi poliéster termoendurecido, están disponible en colores blanco, negro y naranja.
PLATFORM ofrece opciones personalizables de una, dos y tres plazas para lograr diferentes niveles de privacidad en ambientes de oficina, grandes vestíbulos y lofts.
Su línea estilizada, ergonómica y elegante a la vez, así como sus múltiples configuraciones y acabados en tapicería, hacen de PLATFORM un producto icónico, ideal para espacios abiertos y contemporáneos.
KLIP | LA SILLA ÓPTIMA
La estética de la silla KLIP rebasa su función, para convertirla en una pieza protagonista de la decoración interior.
Tras ganar el proyecto de casi 10 mil sillas para la Tokyo Science University, Carrasco se planteó el reto de optimizar el concepto clásico de silla de carcasa de plywood del maestro Jacobsen. “…pensamos cómo dotar de valor a un clásico con un sutil corte en su carcasa a modo de “clip”, que nos permitiera no solo servir de asa sino también de percha para nuestra bolsas”, explica Víctor Carrasco. Su diseño de líneas sencillas la convierte en el asiento perfecto para integrarse naturalmente, tanto en ambientes de hogar como en instalaciones y oficinas.
La silla KLIP se compone de un tablero curvado de madera chapado en roble natural, en acabados pulimentado, lacado o tapizado. Su base es de acero calibrado (cuatro patas y base giratoria) en colores negro, blanco o naranja fluorescente, así como aluminio lacado en blanco o negro para la versión de ruedas. La colección incluye también una versión de taburete alto con base giratoria. “Su gran oferta de bases y diferentes tapizados la hacen perfectamente adaptable para prácticamente cualquier escenario”, afirma el diseñador valenciano.

MAARTEN | SOLID COMFORT
As a tribute to the Belgian designer M. Van Severen, designer Víctor Carrasco created MAARTEN, a furniture collection that recalls the elegance of classic design from the 1970s.
Inspired by the elegance of Van Severen’s work with simple basic steel structures which were combined with seats of great visual comfort Carrasco came up with this product as a tribute to the brilliant contemporary designer. “I’ve always been a big fan of Maarten Van Severen, who I would have loved to work with. His sudden death deprived me of that opportunity but led me to work on the chair that I would have liked to do with him.”
The swivel chair from the MAARTEN collection is a highlight in its own right. Its attractive and colourful design made from upholstered wood in a variety of finishes and pyramid shaped steel structure in lacquered black, white, fluorescent orange or transparent finish lends it a distinguished aspect within diverse settings. “Its wide ribbed seating lends it a homely quality which belies its robust and solid base,” points out Carrasco.
Perfect as an accessory for the home, business, shared seating areas or the office the MAARTEN chair offers a pleasant experience both in use and to look at.
MAARTEN | ‘ONE MILE TABLE’
The MAARTEN collection has expanded adding a versatile system of classic minimalist design tables, ideal for adding an alternative touch to contemporary rooms and spaces.
With this table and its alternative versions as the centre of attention Víctor Carrasco proposes its simplification: the legs are been resolved technically in order to be fixed directly to the table top without an intermediate structure. His concept for one mile expresses the infinite possibilities offered by the MAARTEN table, from morning till night: breakfast in the kitchen, working in the office or dining at the restaurant table version. This innovative system allows many uses, finishes and formats.
This collection’s available finishes are designed to be integrated within any setting in a natural manner. The table or work top measuring 30mm in thickness is manufactured from lacquered micro textured MDF in a choice of colours; white, black, sand, tobacco, silver, red, mustard and green. Another option is the natural finish polished veneer in matt oak, wenge, cognac or cheery.
For its structure the variable leg heights are made from guaged lacquered steel in white, black or fluorescent orange thermo-reinforced polyester. “… We believe in the idea of synthesis, we don’t judge or dictate what is valid or what isn’t valid, we simply create objects with the maximum respect putting a wide palette of considered finishes for our clients to complete the design work,” explains Carrasco. With 11 models to choose from in either simple table format or equipped with MDF drawers MAARTEN represents a synthesis of everyday furniture combined with excellent design.
PLATFORM | CONFORT EMOCIONAL
Seating acquires a new dimension with PLATFORM, the collection designed by Arik Levy.
The Israeli designer who resides in France sees the world in terms of people rather than objects. With this idea in mind Levy has created a line of seating which offers the user ‘emotional comfort’ beyond mere aesthetics or traditional concepts of functionality. “PLATFORM is a system of very comfortable sofas. We could say a psychological and physical comfort,” explains Levy.
The different heights of its backrests and side panels create a sense of refuge: a private space for conversation or simply to rest. As we have become used to with Arik Levy meticulous attention is paid to detail. The PLATFORM collection is made form solid wood and MDF covered in expanded, non-deformable polyurethane foam and polyester fibre. Not available in leather.
The base and guaged steel legs in lacquered thermo-reinforced epoxy polyester are available in white, black and orange. PLATFORM offers personalised options in single, double and triple seat versions in order to achieve different degrees of privacy for offices, large entrance halls and loft spaces. Its stylised lines, both ergonomic and elegant at the same time combined with its multiple possible configurations and upholstered finishes convert PLATFORM into an iconic product, perfect for open plan and contemporary.
KLIP | SEAMLESS INTEGRATION
Taking its inspiration from the office paper clip the KLIP chair designed by Víctor Carrasco is an ingenious piece of furniture made from oak, the slit within its back support works as a handle for easy movement as well as a hook for hanging bags or other objects.
After being awarded the contract for almost 10 thousand chairs for the Tokyo Science University, Carrasco has now turned his attention to updating the concept behind the classic Jacobsen plywood chair. “… We are looking for a way to incorporate a subtle slit within its carcass as with “clip”, which will allow it to serve not only as a handle but also a hook for our bags,” explains Víctor Carrasco.
Its clean lines and simple design make it the perfect chair to integrate seamlessly within the home, institutions or office spaces.
The KLIP chair is composed of a curved veneered panel in natural oak, available in polished, lacquered or upholstered versions. Its base is made from calibrated steel (four legs and swivel base) available in black, white or fluorescent orange colours combined with lacquered aluminium in black or white for the swivel version. The collection also includes a high stool version with revolving base.
“Its wide variety of bases and different upholsteries make it perfectly adaptable for almost any setting,” adds the Valencian designer.
The visual appeal of the KLIP chair exceeds its functionality making it the focus of any interior design project.
