València, meeting point for the habitat industry
Feria Valencia will be one of the major epicenters of design month with the celebration, from September 29 to October 2, of the major international events focused on the habitat sectors: Feria Hábitat València and Textilhogar.
Both events will bring together an offering of over one thousand firms and brands from 21 countries and will occupy an exhibition area of more than 96,000 square meters, equivalent to the eight halls on levels 2 and 3 of Feria Valencia. All this represents a growth of nearly 20% in direct exhibitors due to the new Decoration pavilion and new areas such as Contract 360º.
A large-scale event that will be accompanied by various installations, exhibitions, and parallel activities that will complement four days of experiences around the latest proposals in interior design, design, and projects for communities. And all led by the best professionals of the moment.
Thus, for example, interior designer Tomás Alía, Gold Medal for Fine Arts in 2022, will be in charge of designing a sustainable hotel under the most deeply rooted Valencian architectural tradition. His installation ‘Barracas’ for ‘Hotel Hábitat 2025’ will include eight suites designed by leading names such as Pascua Ortega, Odosdesign, Cosín Estudio, Studio HC, or MMAIN Martínez Medina.
The hotel industry will once again take center stage, with the celebration of various professional forums and contract sessions in collaboration with sector associations such as HOSBEC and the main hotel chains.
In addition, Hábitat will also host the recent National Design Award winner, Héctor Serrano, and his retrospective of 25 years of work, which will include his acclaimed exhibition ‘Raíces’, vases made from DANA debris and intended for charitable purposes.
Sigfrido Serra, meanwhile, together with Interiores magazine, will dress Textilhogar in pink with a surprising installation: ‘Pinknic, textile experience’, which will include the AITEX trends area.
New materials for architecture and interior design will take the spotlight with the exhibition ‘Conscious Materiality’, organized in collaboration with Material Bank and the consulting team Matter. This exhibition will be located next to the new Contract 360 area aimed at showcasing the latest innovations for projects and communities.
Furthermore, Hábitat will host for the first time ‘Tempo Craft’, the first contemporary craft fair Made in Spain, which will bring together more than 30 premium creators and artisan workshops and will also be the stage for the presentation of the DIN (National Interior Design) Awards.
Another unmissable stop at Hábitat will be the nude Salon of young design talents, which will showcase proposals from 25 studios and design schools and which this year will be conceptualized by José Manuel Ferrero and Estudi{H}ac, as well as a memorial around DANA as a tribute to the affected Valencian industry, represented by the firm Temasdos, or the installation by Uecko of the tallest wardrobe in the world, certified by Guinness.
To top it off, Hábitat will also host more than one hundred conferences, round tables, professional sessions, and debates both in the nude Agora and in the Hotel Hábitat conference area, as well as presentations by exhibitors with the presence of the best designers of the moment, from Karim Rashid to Ramón Esteve, including Alberto Cavalli, Mónica Armani, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Belén Moneo, Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, Ben Wu, and Meike Harde.
