Feria Hábitat Valencia joins European Furniture Retailers Federation, FENA
Feria Hábitat Valencia has signed an agreement with the European Federation of Furniture Retailers (FENA: the acronym derives from the Federation’s name in French) whereby the leading fair for ‘Made in Spain’ interiors becomes a preferred member of the most influential organisation in the European retail sector for furniture and furnishings for interiors. FENA groups together the Belgian, Dutch, German, Spanish, French, Norwegian, Austrian, Swiss, Portuguese and Italian trade associations and is acknowledged by the European Commission as representing them on issues that are common across the furniture and interiors retail sector.
The agreement that Feria Hábitat Valencia and FENA signed at the end of 2009 is a recognition that the Feria Valencia fair plays a key role in the businesses of European furniture and interiors professionals, and grants the organisation preferred member status. Becoming a member of the Federation means that Feria Hábitat Valencia will be able to strengthen its relationship with the European furniture retailing sector and promote the quality ‘Made in Spain’ interiors offering that will be on display at the upcoming fair, which is set to take place from 28th September to 2nd October this year. This next Feria Hábitat Valencia will also be a fitting backdrop for a possible meeting of FENA’s Board of Directors, which is chaired by Denis Heylen of Belgium
Feria Hábitat Valencia’s joining FENA marks a further step in the fair’s ambition to develop closer relationships with the organisations that are most representative of the furniture retailing sector both in Spain and across Europe. Also in pursuit of this aim the fair maintains a close relationship with the Spanish Confederation of Furniture Retailers (CECOM), which is a member of FENA too.
