Feria Hábitat Valencia, the design hub
From 28th September to 2nd October a huge number of designers, interior designers, architects and other professionals linked to the world of interiors will converge on Valencia.
This is why we are organising a number of different events, exhibits and activities based on made in Spain interiors.
Patricia Urquiola designs an exhibit for Feria Hábitat Valencia
Considered to be one of the most influential designers of furnishings for interiors in the world, Patricia Urquiola will be contributing to Feria Hábitat Valencia 2010 with an exhibit that will review her best-known designs.
The exhibit will be part of the space in which the leading European manufacturers specialising in contemporary design will show their creations for 2010 to specifiers, interior designers and other professionals from all over the world. The exhibit will be in Pavilion 6, which will house all Feria Hábitat Valencia’s avant-garde and contemporary product offering.
1st Ibero-American Congress for the Interior Architecture Profession
Feria Hábitat Valencia and the Comunidad Valenciana Guild of Interior Designers are jointly organising the 1st Ibero-American Congress for the Interior Architecture Profession, CIPAI, which takes place at the fair venue from 27th to 29th September. The Congress aims to provide an opportunity to examine and reflect upon interior architecture and the design of interiors.
The Congress will be complemented by a series of practical workshops that will be held in different areas of Feria Hábitat Valencia.
Lifestyles
Four project designers will be at work on Level 2 of the Fair, each in their corresponding area, to reflect different lifestyles following the trends depicted in the Habitat Observatory of Trends Book.
The project designers selected are: estudi{H}ac, enproyecto, La Salamandra and Yonoh Estudio Creativo.
The R, D + i seminars
A key bolt-on to International Kitchen Design is the programme of R, D + i Seminars, which take place in even-numbered years, when the fair itself does not take place. The seminars constitute a new way of participating in Feria Hábitat Valencia whereby innovation and creativity have the last word in terms of creating the kitchens of the future.
The ideas that emerged from the sessions led by leading manufacturers and world-class chefs such as Quique Dacosta and Pedro Subijana showed how gastronomy and cooking methods influence how kitchens are designed. The prototypes will be on display at Feria Hábitat Valencia from 28th September to 2nd October.
